my 440 is going together this week so it can go in the car, and I have a friend helping me build it, but he wont be back here til friday, and I'd like to put my cam in tommorow. I got the Comp XE268 to go in my 440.

So my question is, How do I find TDC when putting this thing together? What secrets should I know? The cam is the last thing left to do.

cam and crank sprockets are keyed coded to match on just one position on crank and cam and they are labeled with a point to line up.
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

Thanks Natcho. Does the number one piston come up twice? On one compression stroke and another stroke? How do I know which is which? Will the timing mark only go one way??

the other one would be the exhaust stroke and i'd suppose you could tell by pulling the valve cover and seeing if the exhaust valve is open...
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....
