Just got done (finally) cleaning up the rear end, installing new seals and the SSBC disk brake kit.  Any recommendations on which oil to use?  It is an 8 3/4 3.23 sure grip..........thanks  matt

85 W 140,  gear lube and go to your local Mopar dealer and pick up some friction modifier (Sure grip fluid)

I use Red Line synthetic 75W-90, no need for additional additives.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

:iagree:

That said, it depends somewhat on the type of SureGrip. My experience has been with the Power Lock (clutch-type).

A buddy of mine just had his rear end rebuilt from DTS, they said they wouldn't honor the warranty if synthetic was used...........anyone know what's up with that?

A clutch style suregrip can slip if the lube is too slippery. I use regular dino 85-140 with friction modifier. No problems
