Teach me how to do a burnout

Hmmm. :scratchchin: Never figured there was that much to it. My secret method was always just to get in a car with way more power than I need, start it, put it in gear and stomp on the gas pedal. You guys act as if there's a bunch of technical facts needed to accomplish the task, like when some govt. agency gives us advice on healthy eating or how to stay out of debt. It ain't rocket science. :shruggy: Is it?

If big burnouts are a sign of power and torque how come the little FWD sh*tboxes do some of the best burnouts?

Burnouts are dumb, they prove nothing.

Because they just lock the e brakes on the rear.
Burnouts are dumb but they are also fun.  But they are dumb.  And fun.

What? I love the smell of burning rubber in the afternoon, it smells like victory. :nana:

A line lock to hold the front brakes on will make it a little easier too.  (not to mention a bit of water under the rear tires or some bleach  :D )

When I was a lot younger, everyone talked about line lockers.....exactly what is it ? It sounds like rigging the brakes so only the fronts stay on - is that it. I can't imagine keeping my foot on the brake and revving the crap out of my engine - rear shoes lock. I've only even spun them taking off quick-smart.

Silly - yes.........still fun. :icon_smile_big:

Basically it's a vlave with an electric solenoid and it goes in line to the front brakes.  You apply your brakes, then click on the solenoid which closes the valve and when you let off the brakes, it doesn't allow the pressure to bleed off from the front back to the master cylinder, therefore the front brakes stay applied.
