I was checking out the lost car registry and I thought I would help out the people who are searching for their old vehicles. So Im gonna copy and paste the VIN numbers of the 69 Chargers that people are searching for. If you reconize the vin, like if you own the car or did own it, then tell me and I'll get the searcher's email address for you. So here it goes, lets help these people find there old 69s!

cody the 6th digit in the VIN specifies what year car it is. the one you just mentioned had a 9 in the 6th spot. that's a 69.. go back and look at your original post. second car from the top. see that 8 for the 6th digit in the VIN? THAT's the 68 that 69 500 was referring to

One other typo on one of the listed VIN's to the 500's. That is unless 2 500's share the same VIN, but with different engines.

And yea, I was shocked....I have like 40-50 vin numbers in my personal database right now and I was pretty shocked to see that the number I have is so close to that. I also have 2 Daytonas in my database that are like 2 cars apart

This is odd.  I spent some time on the phone today calling CA DMV.  I gave them my vin and they have it listed, and told me to go WWW.DMV.GOV and find form INFO 70, print the two pages and send 5 bucks.  They will send me the past owners.  I was thrilled until I learned just their names.  I said " so your gonna say something like John Smith owned my car?  but no address or number?" Nope, just the name.  Good news is the guy before me said he got it in Bellflower CA 6 years ago, so I'll take the 2nd name down and call every "John Smith" in BellFlower.  Hope this gives some ideas.  I know also you can go to the town hall you once owned a car at many years ago and look in past tax records and get the VIN if your trying to find a car Vin from the past.   Thanks for the postings, great idea.

what car got stolen?

My Charger got stolen in July 07...we got it back the next day. Anyways guys...I wont be on much anymore until I get my computer fixed. Its really messed up and Im at a hotel right now

sorry that I didnt respond soon but yes...the Lost Car Registry helps people find their old cars or it helps people find out the history of their car

Also, just thought Id throw this out there. I am creating a database of 69 vin's. Basically privately for myself, I keep everything in a binder in my room nice and safe.
