On the under hood pic I have of an unrestored Daytona, there is a black plastic strap on the drivers side inner fender used to hold the vacuum harness, then there is a smaller plastic strap on the radiator support ,also to secure the harness . Straps in question are more commonly used on E-bodies .

Are these Daytona only or same as similar year chargers as well. If Also used on Chargers I may try to put another underhood strap kit together instead of / along side  of the more common 1966-70 B-body kit currently avail

Bill if I'm not mistaken, the strips that run along the inner fender on the drivers side on the vacuum hoses are one all Chargers. I could be wrong though.

Now as far as the black one on the top of the radiator core support where the hoses go up and over that, I believe that is a Daytona only piece.

I could be wrong though, wouldn't be the first time.

:iagree:    daytona only deal , the lines on a  none daytona  charger pass through the/ or one of the  battery cooling hole in the core support ,
Feel free to post any relevant picture you think we all might like to see in the threads below!

Bill,

The strap on the inner fender should be a clear plastic strap, and it's there on all Chargers.  Danny's right though, the black one on the radiator support is a Daytona-only (don't know about 'Birds though - might be them too) piece.

Here's a picture from Jim McCauley's F5 Daytona I snapped at Carlisle this year showing the inner fender straps:

Oh, OH wait I have a picture to add to this one too.

This is the black piece in question, on the same car, and at the same show. I was going to post one of it from 2 years ago, but found one from this years Carlisle as well.

After looking a little bit more, I found one more photo that shows the black plastic piece pretty well too.

thanks Fellas,

I received a CD with about 200 pics of the 2 orange daytonas in the  Malcom collection, and I just went back and looked thru them and only the one car has the black plastic strip on the left inner fender, but both have the one on the radiator support. I wasn't aware of the clip on these cars.
