:o  damn , at least there is no other damage ,  it is quite a common modification to weld a thick washer in that location , to stop that sort of thing happening , also with age that area can suffer from stress cracks , so it is worth checking even if it has not ripped out yet ,

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Yowsa!

You're lucky that area didn't tear out in the middle of the road and cause a FULL Bullitt imitation!

O.k  o.k.
impatient  i hit the Fell St. hill wrong passing a cressida..   :smilielol:
She's Back,..Thanks to some old school Swedes, who got it ... aligned and everything... Paul tells me a new cross member is 500.oo!
So that was quite a $ hit.

I remember when this Charger first crabbed home on the freeway drifting from lane to lane about 8% off the beam,..  :smilielol: i had to sway from lane to lane and cross winds I would and did  literally steer her like a clipper ship,..  with a rebuilt 318 and 440 T bars. Air shocks and Slot mags...
smoking like a bastard, blowin oil out that back header flange crabbing into the wind.. ah the good old days, engine wound up and driveline hummin every few seconds..
still managing to keep her wound up to 82 MPH...
and every time i got  :Twocents: togeather i'd invest it in improvments..
So you see why i think of my skunk as a frankenstein car?..   :eek2:

I got plans though..
