I spent forever and a day putting the 440 727 with headers in my 69 charger.   I now realize the passenger side torsion bar is sitting right against the header.  Has anyone else had this problem?  What is the best way to get these headers off this car?  How much junk will I have to unhook to get em out of there?  I should of listened.  WHAT A PAIN IN THE ........ Is it going to be possible to just jack up one side of the motor at a time to take them off, or is it gonna be alot more work?

The pass side header can be easy to take off just need to lift up that side of the engine a little, but
if you need to take both out lifting the engine back up a certain amount will be necessary.
Some people have had luck in bending a header to get the clearance you need but not me, If
its that bad you may have some bad headers or some real bad motor mounts but I take it you
checked to make sure the motor mounts are OK and in the correct position.

If those are TTI brand headers and they're the 1-3/4" that's the same problem I had. I ended up getting the 1-7/8" and they fit up perfectly.

Must be the problem.  I got a set of hp manifolds coming. I havent even had the car running, and already bloody sick of all the header issues...............I think I will sacrifice a few horsepower for less maintenance.  will the hp manifolds bolt right up without pulling the motor out of the car?

Yes, if the headers are gone the manifolds bolt right in with no engine lifting or fuss. Then you will need to
get to the shop to put on new pipes or I would go with a TTI system.
