How much would an XV Motorsports 2nd gen Charger cost?

I hope someday to own a 2nd gen Charger.  I recently read up on XV Motorsports.  Just out of curiousity how much would an XV Motorsports 2nd gen Charger go for, $50,000? $100,000?  Beyond the wallet of an average joe?

Time is money ---- and If I had the money, I'd definately pay the $150K for one of those. Of course, no money and lot of time, I may consider the other way....(maybe). Let's be honest , those XV cars are sweet.,,, and I sure don't have the ability to build one.  :cheers:   I'm all thumbs.

Building the car is alot more fun if you ask me....but if XV were not asking such a high price then I would probably consider it over buying a new car.

I am going to build a pro touring Charger, with a lot of XV parts, and i talked to them yesterday. My car is still sitting in the US, waiting for the parts i want to have shipped with it.
A 68 Charger, with all goodies, and a 6,1 hemi will be app 190 K, give and take a little, if they build it.
I will use XV level 2 front suspention and brakes, subframe connectors and full exhaust system. Will build my own 4 link/ wattslink rearend suspention. Engine will be KB 572, with injection, and 6 speed Tremec behind it. The XV parts i am getting, is app 20K
Since we only live once, and all this is not just a dressed rehearsal, but the real thing............ Well, enjoy it!!!!

My problem is that I don't have the know how, the equpment, the place, or the time to do this to my future Charger.  I can do the basics, change tires, change the oil, spark plugs, etc.  When it comes to welding and metal work, adding bolt on goodies, I'm not skilled in that area.

I'm planning on buying a 2nd gen within the next year or two.  I'd love to have the car handle better than stock, along with a decent engine. 

I'm in college now and will be graduating next year.  My plan is to be a web developer and in my state they make pretty decent money.  Not enough to fork out 150k+ though. :lol:

Nice to see that young people has mucle car dreams too!!!! I am 43, and i have had this project in the back of my head for 25 years!!!!
I bought a 68, with a 383, just a few months ago for 15 K, drove it from Chicago to Reading, PA, there it is sitting now, with a buddy of mine, waiting for the parts that i ship together with it. I am living in Norway, so i desided to to be a little patient, and get all i need for the first part of the building prosess.
My advice is to get a car in decent driving shape, so you can use it, and familiarize with it, and then go step by step. You say you have no knowledge on car work, exept the basics, but everybody has started somewhere. Nobody popped out of their mom, as a fully trained car restorer!! Keep at it, and learn step by step.  ;)

I actually prefer classic cars compared to the new ones.  Especially Mopars and especially 2nd gen Chargers.  My plan is to buy (once I get the money) a 1969 Charger R/T that runs and drives.  I'd love to add some XV motorsports upgrades to it.  I hope the XV Motorsports parts are easy to install.  Of course this is in the future for me, hopefully within the next year or two.
