My guess is Alamogordo, NM   :shruggy:

I'm sure I've seen that yard, or one just like it, where the owner in town runs a body shop and only opens the yard on weekends, by appointment only.  I had no time to stick around.

I also say its in phoenix around 40th street and university off I-10 somewhere, or it could be Tucson area. I will have to go by 40th street and see.............

I don't think it's in Tucson, we don't have those weird sideways lights  :Twocents:

Ghoste

Well if it's in the American southwest, there have to a few Road Runners in there.  :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:  I crack me up.  :smilielol: :smilielol: :smilielol:

Not Utah either, for the same sideways reason. :icon_smile_tongue:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

***We have a winner here folks!!***  I didn't think this thread was going to cause a ruckus, but I'll end all speculation since I read some of you were thinking of cruising past 40th street or whatever that place was.  This place is located in Alamogordo, NM.  Just like Shakey said.  Like I said, from my viewpoint I couldn't see any Chargers, but there were a few cars that might be good candidates for professional "flippers."  I myself am not interested in buying anymore Chargers since I have two.  I am, however, trying to scrounge up some parts.  I'll let you all know ASAP if there are any good Chargers there or not.  Unless Mr. Shakey knows already?

***September 8, 2007***

Well I managed to find someone who knows the owners of this yard, and nothing but bad news.  This gentleman I talked to claims to be well acquainted with the "new" owners of the yard, and he said they will be CRUSHING everything.

I asked him if he knew if that yard had any first, second, or third generation Chargers and he said he didn't think so, but it wouldn't have mattered because they DO NOT want to sell.  They don't want to sell parts or whole cars, they just want to clear up the yard and get rid of all the cars.

This gentleman I talked to also said he recently sent someone over to speak with the owners because he had inquired about some cars.  Apparently this person was willing to buy a few cars from the owners, and they still said, "No."  Oh well, I guess I won't bother with that yard anymore.  Just thought I'd put this out here for anyone who was interested.

Sounds like idiots to me. It wouldn't hurt to help some old cars survive. Why would anyone just want to crush them?

Maybe they're treehuggers just wanting to rid the earth of unused cars...or they struck a deal with the Chinese, who will pay top dollar for recycled steel these days.

I forgot to add that the gentleman I spoke with said these new "owners" had acquired the property, he didn't say how long ago, but said they just wanted the property and not the cars.  I guess they want to develop the property into a snowbird camp area or something.   :shruggy:  Oh well.

"Hi, D-C.com Junk Removal Service. I understand you need some property cleaned up. That's our specialty. We can have all of these cars hauled out of your way in no time. We charge by the our but we brought a big crew *points to convoy of pickup trucks and car trailers* so, we'll be done and gone by sun down. We'll clean out your file cabinet too. All the cars' paperwork is n there, right?"

You need to find out who's going to do the crushing and try and intercept some of those cars.
