I have a 73 charger with a 413 engine and holley 4 barrel and it bogs down when I am at a stop and give it gas. It'll stutter and die if I don't play it out correctly. When I am already going and kick it down it will go just fine it only does it from a really slow speed or dead stop.

Mine was doing the same thing.  Im installin a new carb now.  Im pretty sure that was my problem the carb just needed a rebuild but I got a new one instead.

Check your accelerator pump.

where is that and what should I look for or how can I tell if it isn't working or needs to be replased. I just rebuilt the carberator but I didn"t replace one thing cause I would of had to take the entire top pieces out. Knowing my luck that was probably it.

Just have somebody pump the gas pedal while you look down the front barrels of the carb.  You should see a stream of gas squirt into each one.

ok so I tried that and it seems to work just fine.

What type Holley do you have?  Vacuum or mechanical secondaries.

check your float level, that could be it too

I think I have vacuum cause I have a vacuum line that comes off the distributor and connects to the carb.
