ok I have a 73 dodge charger big block and I am tring to figure out which wires connect to the choke, because when I got the car a couple months ago they were not connected. I have one wire that leads to the alternator that is possibly one that connects to it and it has power in it.I'm just not sure what the 2nd wire is and whether or not it matters which way they are placed on the choke.

you mean this control ? ( for manifold heated chokes )

This control is an electrical asisitant to the manifold heated unit. The plug you see at it is the choke itself plug. The unplugged prong is plugged to the ignition keyed source blue wire. Harness does provide this source.

My stock Holley had it too.  Look towards the back of the intake manifold.

well the motor isn't original. It is from a motorhome. I don't know if that would make a difference or not. Also I have two green wires that leed to nowhere behind the motor and I will take a picture tomorrow when I get a chance.

two green wires ? on ORIGINAL harnesses green wire on engine harness is negative from regulator up to alt brush.
then a green traced red is from ballast resistor uo to Ignition module.

but will wait for pics

ok I tried to post some pics but I had some trouble and I will keep trying. But I don't see anything like what you have in your picture. Just a bunch of wires. My motor is also from a camper if that makes any kind of difference.
