Well I gone and done it now! While replacing the heater core and a/c evap. with the covers split I painted the two halves. I removed the freah air door which has an external spring attached to the cover and door lever. Well I somehow lost the spring, my three question are; where can I get another spring, does someone have a picture how it goes back in and does the door without vaccum remain closed up or down. Thanks for any help!

What year of car is it?  Air car or no?

I should have known to include the car. 72 B-body with a/c. Thanks, James

Is this what you need?

Charger1973, thanks for pics and info. I found the spring laying under the car. Anyway, I reinstalled the spring and door and we're good to go. Again, thanks for the pics.
