 2:94 sure grip & a 727    for 99% of the time     ,   have got another centre section with 4:10 sure grip , i change when i feel the urge.

Changed from 3.23 4speed to 3.55 4speed, and what a difference !

4:10 automatic.  I like the good feeling I get knowing I am doing my part to rebuild the economy of Iraq.

Some ratios work better for some people than others. It depends on what the owner wants or expects from his car and his driveline setup.

   Went from a 2:76 open with a stock converter and cam to a complete engine rebuild with a .575 lift cam, 4:10 Sure Grip and a 3500 stall converter. I am having much more fun now...lol

I've got a 3:23 open diff, and personally the gear fits my driving really well.  I've been getting a pretty steady 15 mpg with my 383, running speeds around 75mph on the highway.   I spend 75% of my driving on the highway just cruising so the tall rear gear is a great match for me.

in automatic cars i like the 3.55 gears myself but since i gernaded my last 3.55 i had to go with a 3.31 and to be honest i can't tell much difference.
