Can anyone tell me of a brand tape that will hold up to the engine compartment heat. The 3m stuff I buy from my local ADVANCE comes loose and gunks up after a few hours of heat. I have tried other various brands also.
I want to rewrap all my wires in a project Satellite I am working on. I would prefer it to hold well.

I think about the only thing that will hold up is to properly solder the connections and then maybe insulate them with shrink wrap?  Electrical tape is a band-aid solution in almost any application.

You can  get the original style tape that came from the factory from Year One

The original wasn't all tape , it was just a black plastic wrap held on by tape at either end.

The original harness tape has no adhesive, as stated it is available from several sources.
