440-6 pack in a 68 Charger

I realize that 440-6 packs did not come in 68 Chargers. I have always been in awe of the 6 pack and love the engine. I have toyed with the idea of putting it in my car and many have discouraged it since I have an RT. I have the original drivetrain for it and a drivetrain to play with. Alot of people I have spoken to have criticized me for wanting to do this, saying that it would reduce the value of the car since it is not original. This is my reason for keeping the original drivetrain out of it. I do not intend on selling the car. I figure since it is going to be my car, I could always reverse the modifications since I have the parts to do it.

What would I need to do to the "extra" drivetrain to clone a 6 pack engine. I know I would need the intake, carbs, air cleaner, linkages, balancer and rods? What else would I need? Is the 440-6 pack crank the same as a steel 440 crank? Would I need to get a different carb, cam, and torque convertor if I switched from the 440 Magnum to a 440-6 pack?

to make the 6 pack work just bolt onthe intake & carbs , no big deal at all , to make it 100% correct for 70 you would need the heavier rods , balanced converter & damper ETC but you really cannot see them & it will perform just as well on the engine in there now

As Chryco said, if you have another motor just set the Six Pac on it, don't worry about all that other stuff, its just more money out the window, good luck.

P.S. Yeah, Six Pacs are neat IF you get it tuned right.
