So would 750.00 be too much to ask for the tranny, a torque coverter, the radiator a set of 906 heads that need to be rebuilt, and stock crank and a stock cam? This guy wants to buy my stuff but i dont know how much to charger, plus I really need money seeing as how the tranny just went out on my TT Stealth.

I am in need of a good 727 for my 66 Charger... Would this one work????

So which rad is it? A 71 959 will bring a few bucks.

Really??? Where? Those are 4-speed prices - not automatic. I've sold 727s for $75-100 but maybe I got screwed in the deal (I thought it was fair and about what I had seen elsewhere). Certain radiators are definitely worth more but you need to know the number on the tank.

Sarcasm detector, that's a real good invention.

if its a fresh rebuild a trans can go for 400-500 but nothing higher and that depends on the parts within the trans.  I buy cores all day long for 50-100 and runners for 75-125 bux.

well it all depends on condition, I can pick up 4 spd for $50, operating one.

i usally sell good core big block 727's for around $75.00 as well. the radiator is an iffy. what are the top #'s what condition is it in, will it need recored. all of those play a factor in selling.

Silver, if you can buy 4 speeds for $50.00 and autos for $750.00 all day long, you better beat the hell out of your crack supplier because the stuff he is giving you is bad.  I mean, real bad.  If you're not on crack, I'll take 100 4 speeds please.

As for the thread, I just bought two working big block 727 trannys for $100.00.

no harsh words needed dude, just go to your local junk yard and look for some 4spd, fastbackjon got his for $50 out of van. and there was one more last time i was at that junk yard. and go to ebay and youll find plenty 727 for $650 and under. And where did I say anything about $750. open your eyes or take a chill pill

Not being harsh, just giving advice about your blow.  If you can get a 4 speed tranny for $50 tell me where and I'll go pick it up.  I've scoured the yards around here.  ( unless you're talking about horizon or omni sticks - that'll still cost you at least $100 )  It doesn't matter anyway, 650 - 750 bucks is mild race prepped auto trannys.  Ridiculous argument anyway...

Now for the thread, if the crank is cast and rad is small, the sum of those parts is now a lot less.  The heads should be worth a decent amount ( most used heads need some amount of "rebuilding" ) so I wouldn't worry about that.  Make sure you find out exactly what you have before you sell.

Troy

So, there's ONE instance of getting a 4 speed for $50 and several hundred instances of getting autos for $75-150. Definitely some kind of drugs involved. :P

4 speeds out of a van have there own issues.
