MOPARS take local car show by force!!

I am a member of Mopars of Utah.  Around 16 members got together yesterday, and cruised into a local car show with a show of MOPAR force :D  Out of about 285 cars, we had the best section (in the shade) roped off and waiting for us.  It was pretty impressive having that many Mopars at a local show.  Now for a few pics:

1. A few of us lined up early for the cruise-in
2.  My 1969
3. 1970 Charger R/T

1.  1970 Hemi Challenger engine bay
2.  1971 Super Bee
3.  1974 Charger

1.  Beautiful 1969 GTX.  The guy is the second owner - bought the car in 1986.  The only thing he has done to it was a re-paint.

2.  1970 Charger R/T, 440, 4-speed - original owner.  Owner traded his 1969 Mustang plus $600 back in 1970 and drove if off the lot.  Recently re-painted, plus new interior.

it allways amazes me how that orange on the '70 flashes so in the sun like that.. wasnt that called Tor red?..

Thanks for posting the pics! :coolgleamA:
I had to work yesterday & missed the show. But I did make it over for some of the cruise afterward. I saw you do a couple laps, as well as both 70's you posted. Then about an hour later, a yellow '70 500 showed up, along with a black '68...that's the most Chargers I've seen at one event (other than the Miller show) around here ever! :o

That's pretty cool that the orange '70 guy is the original owner. I saw him cruising the night of July 6th in A.F. as I was going the other way...I just about kinked my neck as a result of the whiplash as he went by. :smilielol:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

It was a lot of fun doing the lap cruise down State Street.  Didn't have time to stay for the burn outs, though.  The last two years, a Mopar took the burn out competition - the 1970 Hemi Challenger.  The guy with the Orange 70 lives in American Fork.  He said he just got it out of the shop this month - so you probably saw him on his way home :icon_smile_big:

Dan,
We miss hanging with you at the car shows.  Weather has been dry and hot down here!!  We are working on the 68 a little bit at a time.  We need a super shop like yours to "get-r-done" :icon_smile_big:  Eric's boss has a pretty good size garage and lets Eric trailer the 68 over there and they work on their cars together.  His boss is doing a ground up resto on a 64 Lemans - trying to clone it into a GTO.  Eric pretty much has the body work done on the 68 - getting it ready to paint.  He wants to get it done before he and his Mrs. move on to a different job.  So, all in all we are doing well.  Hope the same for you and yours.

Carl
