Photos from 1969 Dick Landy Dodge Clinic

Attached are some photos taken back a fellow Mopar Club member in the Jacksonville area. He took these in 1969 at a local Dodge dealer. These were from the Dodge Clinic(s) that Dick Landy would put on in conjunction with Sox & Martin at the Plymouth dealerships.

notice the CHARGER has the 500 stainless window trim,..  also the wipers.. a six-pack T/A scoop too!
too bad the photog didnt bracket the shot correctly... 
also the front bumper trim and lic. plate bracket are missing...
has the wheel well trim though..
i thought those SS rides were gutted..
the headers seem in plain view too...
see hows he's got the skinnies on the front?.. and what's this I see?~

It's hard to tell, but it looks like knockoff's on the front of the Dart too.

That's interesting about the wing car style pillar trim. They must have slapped them on to make it a little more slippery as it blasted down the track.

Those A-pillar trim were a custom install job - you can tell that because they have three screws put in right through the face of the trim.  C500's and Daytonas didn't have any screws visible from the outside, but the Superbird trim was fastened simiar to the Landy car.  However the 'Bird trim only used two screws and in a different mounting locations than those.  Had to be a custom deal...

Any chance those pictures were taken at the dealership in St. Augustine, FL? I can't remember the name of the dealership as it is gone now but it looks like the old building I remember when I was a kid living there.

In the early 80's the owner still had a 440 Six Pack Superbird in the dealer showroom.

I doubt they're actual knockoffs.  More likely just knockoff styled center caps don't you think?  There are still lug nuts on there.

he always ran cragar s/s rims on all his cars from 68-70 those are just tri spoke center caps that were available for those rims

I couldn't see on on the original picture, even though I'm sure it's there somewhere.
The shade pretty well hides it.

Ahh, the good old days.  My dad took these pictures between 1968 & 1970.

He said that drag racing street cars was so popular that they had to run them 3 at a time...
