Well today I had a very interesting day. I decided that I should check my account balance of my savings account online, what I saw almost made me piss myself! My account balance read OVER $1.1 MILLION DOLLARS! Needless to say I called the bank and got it straightened out. Before anyone says that I should have spent it, Canadian Law dictates that I would have to PAY BACK any of that money I spent.

Umm my account visable? First off my account number is not visable and secondly that account was closed by the bank due to the mixup....

If you're talking about the 907200 part... 9072 means the bank is in BC and the 00x is the branch number meaning the bank is in Quesnel...

To tell you the truth for about 10 minutes I sat there not doing anything. I spilled pop on my laptop which sucked and now it's all sticky. I knew the moment I seen it though that it was wrong since I had checked my account yesterday.

Damn near had a Hemi Daytona  :icon_smile_big:

It was one of those things where it wasn't found out until my grandma walked into the bank to deposit money into my account for the holidays. She forgot my account number and told them it's under the name Kyle Giesbrecht. The lady typed it into the computer and asked "Which one?". It wasn't until my grandma finally told them my exact birthday was it all sorted out. And this is in a town of only 12,000+!

Thinking back....  :devil: ..you could have gone to the ATM (provided that you had $20.00 in prior to the mistake) withdrew $20.00..take the print out that shows the balance and leave it on your desk at home or work.   Then when a co-worker or wife picks it up.......looks down at the balance  :o  :scared: :faint:
