when your pressing the shaft in the bushing ,before i started i noticed that the lip on the shaft is about  1/2" from the control arm and when i pressed the bushing in it is still in about the same spot 1/2"but with the new bushing the rubber comes up to the the lip,my question is how do you know when it pressed in all the way how far do you want to smash the rubber down.allso on one of the lower control arms theresa small crack in the socket where the torsion bar goes in should that arm be changed out or could be reused.thanks

The lip on the shaft will be about 1/2 inch from the bottom.  I kept hammering away until I figured out it was bottomed out.  If there is a crack where your torsion bar goes in or anywhere for the matter I would replace.
Thats how I roll.
