Attached the 1972 (correction 1971!)  Dodge Charger that sits in our garage since 1995.

Some background on this beauty:
My wife bought it when she was 16 years old, and is very attached to it. She drove it several times from Detroit to Colorado and back, but a few years before I met her she had to park it. So, I never drove it myself...
I am not a so-called 'car person', I mean, in Holland we just drive bicycles  ;). As a result, I did not do much with this car. I gave it a shot though in '97, and actually got the engine running and drove it out of the garage. That's when I noticed the transmission was leaking, and that was that. I put it in reverse, backed it into the garage again, and it has been there ever since.

I want to give it another shot, but realize I need a LOT of help, which is why I was thrilled to find this forum, full of Dodge Charger enthusiast.

My first task is something I can do easily, and that is to clean all the junk that we put on it. Some of you probably get a heart attack just seeing a classic like this being used as a storage place.

Anyways, I'll get started on this project, which is probably going to span a couple of years, and will report on the progress. If you got some tips & tricks how I should go about it, let me know. In case you live in Detroit area (48170 zip code), and am willing to provide me some hands on advice, that would be great as well.

That looks like way too nice a car to have all that stuff piled on it. Of course I know of a 66 HEMI car in the same shape.
