Life isn't Father Knows Best anymore, it's a kick in the face on a saturday night with a steel toed grip kodiak work boot and a trip to the hospital all bloodied and bashed.....for reconstructive surgery. But, what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger, right?

That is a great song, I actually have it on the original vinyl Lp and the newly released cd. Johnny Cash did bring that song to life with his one of a kind voice! I wonder if he was ever asked to perform the song much in real life, I wish i could have seen it.  :'(

I am going to try to find that on vinyl & buy the CD for now.

Did you read the feedback comments on the bottom of the page?  A bunch of Yankees vs Southerns threatening each other over the "next" civil war.

I had some friends move back to Wis from Savanah recently and they said that they were not welcome there, it seemed as though the people there were still bitter from the Civil War..

Sucker...I downloaded that song (and most of the soundtrack) years ago for free.

Ponch, it's as much about the Charger on the package for me (maybe more so) than the music inside.  Besides, if folks like you weren't cheating poor old John Schneider out of his royalties, he wouldn't have to sell his Charger. :D

check out the song "ballad of the general lee" by doug kershaw...it's also very good
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....
