Years ago I got some door hinges off this car in Currituck County NC. Switched the hinges since my door was sagging abit on the drivers side. It did not register at the time how rare the car was I got the hinges off of was. It was a 1969 R/T SE with every option you can think of. It had Leather and full power, had 8 Track, rear window defogger /defroster and even the power sunroof. The whole complete car was there.

Don't know if anyone on here ended up with that car? It was very solid too. Kinda Gold colored with the matching vinyl top. I went to check some years later and the folks and car were gone. Would be kool if someone on here had it.

There is a large muscle car lot there, cant remember the name but they had alot of mopars. Not all were junkers either. I drove through there on my way to Nags Head last year and about wrecked looking, my wife wouldn't let me stop though.

Road Dog

Yeah , I got my windshield out of there years ago.

How long ago are you talking????

Road Dog

Hard to remember. I know it was in the late 80's.

Being an SE,the leather is a given ,but sounds like the car was pretty loaded.Late 80's,long gone by now, either by someone or mother nature!!

The lot was still there and open last summer.

The one I was talking about is called Moyock Muscle in north eastern NC. Lots of nice project cars there.

I'm thinking of an old Salvage yard off 158. I'm familiar with the lot in Moyock as well. Just after the light along the railroad. Kool stuff there.

It was possibly a show car made special for display or maybe an "executive order" car they could get pretty much anything they wanted.  I've allways been on the lookout for the Bob McCurry showcar and there's a prototype '70 Hurst Charger that got deep sixed in favor of the Hurst Chrysler 300... I'll try to find the pics...
i'll post the entire article since you may not be familer,.. what's notable besides the obvious options are the crager wheels and the mirrors also the hood blackout and C.I. call out is not quite production.

I'll go look for the Hurst '70 now...

Dealer Demo Cars had kool stuff on them to wow the buyers. I used to have a 1970 Satellite Dealer Demo car.

Thanks for the read and pics Brock. That would be a find indeed!

That's what I was thinking Tan Top. Thought it would jog a memory or two if someone had seen one like it.

here's another pic,.. the golds were called bronze T-3 and T-5,.. a few pics of the t-3 and tan top exist but I'm having trouble finding them,.. I'll keep trying,.. BTW: T-3 with a tan top and stripe delete was my chargers original scheme from the factory and when I bought her I thought she had alot of options being an R/T SE but it was missing a few I now know about.
It's a great color combo when freash but only recently has the Tan top material been rebopped..

Road Dog

Very Nice! This car was a stripe delete as well. Just remember it had cruise too.
