Ok paint guys gotta question, this is for my daily driver pickup not my Charger project.  My daily driver is a 2001 S-10, and Im thinking about painting it just to "renew" it, and maybe in a few months I'll have the charger ready and this would be a good chance to practice painting. (its been a long time since i painted anything) . Ok now for my question... I don't want to sink a whole lot of money in the S10, so i was thinking of using single stage paint, of course it has a factory BC/CC paint on it.  Will I need to strip the truck completely before painting or just sand the clear with a certain grit, or can the clear be scuffed up and shot over? I just need to know what prep is needed if wanting to paint a single stage over an old Base/Clear paint job.

Thanks, Jason

I would sand it with 320 by DA sander if you chose. A faster way is by scotch brite pad, red or gray using prep stuff and paint right over that using single stage w/out using any sealer.

Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.
