I shot these pictures last weekend in Southey, Saskatchewan.
The 1969 Hemi-Charger was just freekin' awesome! And R4 "Charger red" to boot!
Somehow I can't imagine the latest inCARnation of the Charger being able to create and sustain the fan base the '69 version has.

I don't care if the new one can out-handle, out -accelerate, has better fuel mileage, and greater interior space.

Bobby Issacs never drove a four door at Daytona!

More pics...

And a question: Is this the proper way to position/terminate the stripe in the trunklid opening?

That stripe end does seem a little odd. Beautiful Charger, though! :drool5:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Just 6T9 CHGR

Mine is pretty much like that as well, just not as long....seems correct to me just a bit long....

PS---love the mudflaps!  :2thumbs:

UFO

What was left of my stripe just did the 90 degree with about 1/2 inch going downward.Heres a close scan from a road test.Hard to see but it stops just after the bend.

Charger-Bodie

as far as the stripe goes im sure there are probobly not 2 that are the same but i highly doubt the factory would have taken the time to trim it like that following the seam like that!!

68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

I know that R4 Hemicar pretty well - it is awesome!  Tracy K. owns/restored it, a low-mileage numbers matching car with tons of documents and history in the Saskatoon area.  Really neat car, although I have no idea what's up with the mudflaps...   :rotz:

To my knowledge, the stripe was supposed to make the first 90 degree turn down and be cut off - like UFO's pictures show.

Yup, it truely is a small world!
HEMI OWNERS OF THE WORLD UNITE!!

The mudflaps were being held on with small paper clips, as part of the show was held outside, and the field had become pretty soggy.

Probably one of the nicest original Canadian Hemi Chargers that I've seen.
And I've seen probably a dozen or more over the years.

Chris G.

Canadians have some sweet Hemi cars. Their 6 pack selection ain't bad either. I would move up there for the cars and beer. The pizza sucks big time though.
