The '70 purple R/T SE with cruise control is identical to mine, belly button car I tell ya'.  Tell me about it Dan.

I also see the new owner of my buddies '70 Hemi Charger changed the wheels out yet again.  That car has had the wheels changed more than I change underwear.  :o

Yep Mike, when I first saw that 70 I had to take a double take. Every option exactly like yours even
power windows, there seems to be qiute a few 70 R/T SE Charger around here, how many were made?
But his car does not have that little badge on the front of the fender, not sure what it means  :icon_smile_big:

Mine friends son bought that 70 Hemi Charger off a guy in Vegas just this year, man that car
sure gets sold a lot. Yep he just put those steelies on last week, took me buy suprise when
he rolled in with it, he was just at a show the week before with Magnums on it. I had forgot
that its only a 34k mile car, well with us guys owning it, the miles will rack up now, no trailer's
around here  ;D

My friends 383 Convert Shaker car in those pictures won best in show.

No picture of the Charger that won first place   :scratchchin:

Brock Samson

hey need'a i thought you were gonna change your name to gotta..   :icon_smile_wink:

Needa68

Brock,

I guess I should change the name. I picked "Needa" when we first got the Coronet. I was new, had no idea where to get parts or in general had no clue about anything MOPAR. It seemed like every post I made on hundres of boards looking for parts started with "I need a 1968...."

Finally after one to many "need a" posts came a great response. Something to the effect of -  "Hey "need a 68", find your own damn parts." After that it just stuck.

I consider myself to be very fortunate. I indeed "gotta" 2 wonderful MOPARS now. Loads of family pride in both.

the people that did not get up early,  it was bad.

Dan,

I was unable to attend this year as I now live in Singapore. I heard that they switched venues from BCC, is that correct? If you have any pictures I should would love to seem.

Cheers,

Robert

:scratchchin:  WoW! Singapore! I guess that makes you our first chargers in Asia!!! is it very hard to get parts there?..  :popcrn:

Needa68

The Coronet and the Charger are at my folks place in TX. My dad is having fun driving and showing the Coronet, and in his spare time is restoring the Charger.

There is no way in hell the Singaporean gvnt would let a late 60's 440 powered beast on the road. I would say 95% of all the cars here are new to 3 years old and have an engine size of 1300cc's. All of them. Gas prices here are unreal compared to the states and the Singapore is only 19MilesX37 miles. Tiny place.  All roads have CC cameras and the highways have Max speed limit of 80 KM/Hr.

This is no place for American muscle. It would be a shame to have those cars here. Howver if you did bring one over, it would literally floor these people. The flash cars that are here are the new Lambo's, Ferrari's, Big BMW's, Masarati's and Porsche's. I look at those beasts sitting in traffic and think about how huge of a waste it to have a car like that in this town. People still buy them however as status symbols are more important here than in the US.

However as you can imagine those tuner fart box graphix laiden pieces of plastic crap are frikken everywhere and it annoys me very much. They actually think they have really cool cars.

Don't get me wrong however, Singapore is AWESOME in so many other ways! I'm going to fire up a MOPARS in Singapore thread later tonight. Look for that in general discussion soon.
