I understand that the 69 Charger only had side marker refelctors on the quarter panels.  Is it possble to use the light system from a 68 or 70 to make them operational when the headlights are on?

anything is possible , but it will require some creativity to make a socet for that style housing.
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior

about power... you will need just get it from parking lamps function ( black traced yellow on front, juts black on rear )

about socket... just get one that will fit and open the hole on sidemark housing... or get the 70 sidemarker set. I vote for try to get a 70 set. I think any B body is the same right ? ( satellite RR, GTX, Coronet )

just a question... was in 68 or 69 that when you get turned on the headlighst front parking lights are turned off ?
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

so 69 was the change to keeping on the parking lights with beams on... then will be easier to feed the front sidemarkers just splicing the power from there

Personally I would leave them non-lit. See the department of transportation (DOT) mandated that starting in model year 1968, all makes of cars needed to have side markers. I guess the auto makers thought it meant lighted, so that the reason 68 are lit. Then some genius at MOPAR found a loop hole that said they only had to be side markers, nothing about being lighted. So in 69 they went with just a reflector side marker, musta saved a ton of money...yeah right. Well DOT clarified this and said side markers must be lighted, so in 1970 they were lit again. as far as I know the story.. kinda neat  :D
