I am restoring a 1970 charger 500 SE.  I know that the 500 tail stripe was only in 69, but I thiink I want one anyway.  Are the rear marker lights that the stripe goes over the same, as the cut outs are already in the stripes for the 69's from Phoenix graphics.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

They aren't the same but the 70 ones are larger and I think the lights are in approximately the same location.  You should be able to cut the holes out a little larger to fit the 70 marker light.  You may want to ask at Performance Graphics.

Charger-Bodie

or you could talk to pfcg and ask if they will make you 70 stripe with the 500 cut out.....by the way i personally have never seen a stripe for a 68-70 that had the holes for the s/m cut out!
68 Charger R/t white with black v/t and red tailstripe. 440 4 speed ,black interior
68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

:iagree: The stripe is a solid piece in regards to the side marker area. Once the stripe is laid on, you take a razor blade & cut an "X" in the tape to slip the marker through...then trim the inside accordingly.

A stripe before the "X".

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Just make sure you put it on straight. :smilielol:

I wouldn't do it to my car, but the 2nd one doesn't look too bad.  Not great either, but I like it a lot more than the one above it.

Charger_Fan

Yeah, I wouldn't throw the 2nd one outta the garage for it's slanted stripe.

How about these, for something different? :)

You can partly see it by noting where the RT badge is.  Since this thread is so hijacked, I suppose this is as good a point as any to mention that your inbox is full Brock.
