I think the story is that he spent *a night* there in the 1400s but, for whatever reason, they call it Dracula's Castle. I read a much better article on it earlier today but I'm too tired to look it up.

Exactly! But what in this world today isn't misrepresented or has spin put on it in some way? Why let facts get in the way of a good story?


There was a great show about Vlad on the History Channel earlier this year.

All the hype over another European warlord like there were many others, and as far as his cruelty goes, most was probably blown out of proportion over the years anyways. He is still a hero in the Balkan, just because he opposed to the Turks. Until today I don't understand why he was made into a vampire...

But it is a nice castle, but you probably could a very simular castle for a lot less elsewhere in eastern Europe, in those regions you still have a lot of them. In all sorts of shapes and sizes. The family is just looking to make big bucks out of it. Doubt anyone besides the government would really want it, though you never know. No offence but who with that kind of money would want to live in Romenia...
