Looking to buy a Lightning. Anyone here own one themselves or a friend? I know the trucks pretty well, driven a few, just never owned one. Its a 2nd gen style, not the 1st. Any info. and photos welcomed. As for you who don't like them, keep your comment to yourself vs the topic.
Thanks  :D    Mark
Hey, you can hate the game but don't hate the player.

Ghoste

A couple of friends of mine have them.  About the only info I can give is to be willing to buy rear tires.  :D

I have an account at the BFGoodrich store here, ha-ha. A few of my friends have them and my F-250 just doesn't hang w/them on road trips, so its my turn to get myself a Lightning. I ordered a new 2008 Mustang GT w/a super charger. I let it go to another buyer Friday. I love mopars, but I'm around Fords a lot also. A truck is more me than a Mustang GT.

lol if your going to spend the coin on a new mustang GT wait a couple months and buy the production 08 Challenger with the 6.1 6 speed supposed to be in the same price range as a fully optioned mustang. then you'll blow those excuses for vehicles away.

Forza

Knock the Mustangs all you want but they are still better then most of the lame excuses of vehicles on the market right now. As to the Lighting I say go for it if you want it. One of my coworkers has one and he loves it. But I agree with Ghoste be ready to replace tires  :icon_smile_big:

A friend of mine has a Harley-Davidson F-150 with a supercharged engine (which I believe is what the Lightning has too). He's had LOTS of fun with it! He sure likes to surprise a lot of the "Import Tuners" with it! :icon_smile_big:

I'm like many- if I really like a particular vehicle I don't concern myself with what brand name is on it. I'll quickly admit that while I love vintage Mopars I lean towards either a newer Ford or a Chevy for a daily driver. I bought this '95 Silverado Extended-Cab off the showroom floor 12 1/2 years ago & it has by far been the best pickup I have ever owned.

I can buy the new GT w/a super charger for under 36 grand. I highly doubt I could buy a new challenger for that price. Thus being the reason, I would not even attempt the buy the new dodge since they will be over rated in the beginning.
