Well damn.. I ordered a pizza last night and when the pizza guy came over he stood in the living room. I paid him and tipped him $6.00 and offered him a beer.  He said sure so I went to the kitchen and got him one. He took it and left.... This morning I woke up and discovered that a $100.00 bill I had siting on the table was gone! Now I knew from the start what had happened, but I did tear the apartment apart to see if it had gotten blown under a chair. No dice! I went to the pizza place and just told them I just needed to talk to the guy- I don't want to get him in any trouble just want to look him in the eye and ask him, maybe he is a good guy and tempeation got the better of him- What gets me is that he seemed like such a good guy.... I duno... i do know that he took it and that all i want is my money back! That is a lot of cash to a guy like me! Also that I am a stupid shit for leaving it there! :brickwall: thanks for listening! :icon_smile_dissapprove:

timmy

next time dont let him in and give him on tip

Charger1973

That sucks.  So you went there, what did he say?  I always hide my money fairly well even if there is no one else around...

Mean 318

He dont work till Thursday I will go in to just see his side on it! I thought $6.00 for a 9.00 pizza was damn nice but I guess not nice enough :rotz:

Orange_Crush

You're out 100 bucks.  You ain't gettin it back.

Your first mistake was to let the guy in in the first place.  NO ONE comes in my house unless I know him/her.

Your second mistake was leaving him alone.

I don't even leave family alone in my house.

Its your word against his.  You can try to talk to him, but any SOB who steals from you when you have invited him into your house and made him feel welcome is NOT going to fess up.

At this point I think i will take it a a lesson learned and just let it go. Am afraid if I do see the guy and he says the wrong thing I will let my temper get the better of me :icon_smile_blackeye:

Might be a good call...  Ive had to do the same thing on more than one occasion with people who screwed me in one way or another.

Orange_Crush

No need to let it go either...

Just say "look, there was a 100 dollar bill sitting in my house when you came in, and it was gone when you left.  I'm giving you the chance to do the right thing."  If he doesn't, at least, admit to it...then just tell his boss.

Be very careful.  At least twice in my life I absolutely, positively knew a person had taken something.  Once, like you, I reported the person to her boss.  Both of those times, I am embarrassed to say, the item turned up somewhere that made sense but I would have never thought of or looked there.  I am still sorry for the unfounded accusations.  So, to the maid at the Winner's Inn in Winnemucca and to my girlfriend's ex roommate, I apologize.  Believe me, if I could trade a hundred dollars for those mistakes, I would.  Still makes me feel bad.  Kim

Don't let your temper get you to do the wrong thing. Maybe you could have some fun & order another pizza & ask for that driver in particular. When he arrives, ask him in, lock the door, & make sure you're wearing just a bright purple thong. Have a big jar of Vaseline on the table where the $100 was, then have a couple of friends come into the room wearing thongs & holding rope. Make sure you get a good photo of the look on his face before he breaks down the door to leave. He might even forget to take the money for the pie & you'll get a free pizza & good laugh.  :D

A guy I know isnt allowed to order Dominos anymore because the guy didnt want to give him his change back, he ended up putting the pizza through the guys windshield.  He got charged for assault with a pizza.   :smilielol:

Pizza guys here actually ASK you if you want your change back! Personally I think that is rude and every one that has asked me that never receives a tip. Once I paid for a $40 pizza bill with a $100 bill and was asked if I wanted my change.

First of all, why would you offer him a beer, he's driving right?

I was once accused of stealing money from my best friends father, (that's the guy with the Porsche, Brock). My friend didn't talk to me for months, then out of the blue he called me and said that he didn't talk to me, because one night when I was over his father was missing 500 bucks from his nightstand.  I told him there is no way I would take it.  He said he thought I did, because he ripped his house apart for days.  His father finally found the money 2 months later.  In one of his drunken stupers he stuffed the bills in his shoes.

I didn't really concentrate on the initial text that closely but I think he offered him a beer, not a pizza. Maybe officials in some states don't allow you to drive under the influence of pizza. :shruggy: ;D

DOH!!!!  I meant to say why did he offer him a beer...

Consider that a $100 learning experience.  :icon_smile_dissapprove:

Seriously dude, that sucks....but I would never.... ever let a stranger into my house when they've got no business being there...that's just asking for problems.  :scratchchin:

P.S. Why did you give a rats-ass about the pizza guy anyway?  F-him  ...and let him buy his own beer

Hows this sound silver... go to hell!  :fu: shouldn't you be working on that hacked up quarter panel?
I didn't think one beer would hurt anyone.... maybe a bad move on my part.
I also already figured it as a learning experience... trust me I learned a lot!
