How odd is this 69 Newport 383 3 speed MANUAL trans. ?

It is a 2 dr hdtp 69 Newport Cutsom with 383 3 speed manual trans on the column.  The orig. owner (91 and in the nursing home) ordered it that way new and parked it in his garage in 1988.  I bought it this weekend.  It runs like a top.  It is PLAIN, Manual steering, Manual drum brakes, Manual transmission, No A/C.  VERY odd for a c-body around here anyway.  Any idea how to find out how unusual it is?  I just hated to see it go to a demo derby guy or something like that.

WOW, sounds like my grandpa's twin car.  Exact same thing except his had a police light on it.  Not sure if it's a police package car though.  Hope to get it soon as well.

68 383 auto with a/c and power windows. Now 440 4 speed jj1 gold black interior .
My Charger is a hybrid car, it burns gas and rubber............

Man I know a guy that has a 66 Belvedere wagon, WHITE with a brown interior. No P/S no A/C no power Brakes, but came with a 383 HP and a 4 speed! The guy that bought it new, bought TWO at the same time! Used them to tow camper trailers. The original owner's son still drives the other car (blue on blue). I tried to buy the white car a couple years ago (somebody has robbed the engine and tranny but it is still a decent straight car) but he is gonna hold on to it.

MAN That would be a COOL driver.

Man, why can't I ever find a deal on a '69 Charger  like that?
