VIN # stampings vary in location depending on make and year. I am not sure where they  are on a '68 Bee, but there should be one on the rad support as shown. It should match the last part of the vin # from the vin tag. Other Mopars have them stamped somwhere on the cowl, if you open the hood and look around in the cowl area directly behind the firewall. Sometimes the # is hidden underneath weatherstripping. The other place would be in the trunk somewhere around the lip. Sometimes they are hard to read because of excess factory paint. If you get two of the numbers to match, you probably have an original Bee. Then there is engine, trans and rear end #'s :yesnod:

The VIN is not used for the radiator support stamping until the 69 model year. Before that, the Sales Order number is used. Therefore, the radiator support number will not match the VIN on a 68 Bee. It should match the number on the fender tag as the VIN is not on the tag until 69 either.

A 68 Bee will have the sales order number stamped on the radiator support and the driver's side trunk rail lip. It should looks similar to what was posted above.

VIN stampings on 68 engines and trannys are hit and miss. The were 'supposed' to have them after 1/1/68 but many do not. A 68 VIN, if it is even there, is stamped at the rear of the block near the oil sending unit and an auto tranny would be directly across from it on top of the bellhousing.

I'm not aware of any VIN numbers on a rear end....

Yes. The Sales Order number should be the same on all three.

that'll buff out :yesnod:    :smilielol:

Yes, buy it.  And then search for a 4 door coronet Granny car and get all the parts you need off it.  It will be one hell of a project but its in better shape than what i started with with my 68 Charger. :yesnod:

Does the car come with a clean title?

On second thought, maybe you want to buy this instead and save yourself some time and money in the long run.  http://adcache.collectorcartraderonline.com/10/9/8/89376598.htm
