My 69 Charger has some nice size holes after getting it blasted.  What would be the best way to take care of it?

Thanks

i like fiberglass myself, it is easier than sheetmetal and it seals the area and wont allow any moisture to enter, it can even go on over a little rust and it will be ok.

im also wondering how would i sand blast the inside?  Im sure it looks pretty bad and am just not sure how to get tight places like that.

best way is to find donor door and swap it on or if you can get junk donor door with same area thats not rusted through, swap it on. Fiberglass to metal is no-no, it will eventually fail

Cut it out and replace it with new metal...

What about places behind that? How do i blast and prime it, or do we just leave those places alone?

when you cut it out you can have better access to the backside to blast it

How about places that you don't need to replace how do you normally get behind those?

if there's no rust you just get there with little touch up gun and spray some epoxy primer.

You can coat the backside with POR-15 or one of the other rust stopping products.

Replace the door, cut out a repair section from a donor door and weld it in, or fabricate a patch from steel and weld it in, these are your only options.

Fiberglass???  :hack:  :icon_smile_dissapprove:  Yeah, if you're working on a boat or a Corvette.

if you need to blast in those hard to reach places you can buy a small syphon type sandblasting gun that will fit through any hole you can fit your hand through, they are slow but they work.

What does this door look like from the outside, or along the bottom flange? Are there any other holes in the inner shell, or just along the bottom here?

The whole lower section needs to be replaced from a donor door. The donor door might even be in BETTER shape than yours. With the amount of work you have to put into this door, I'd say it's toast. You can still find decent doors out there, they're quite plentiful. I see guys at swap meets with several doors, the same ones they can't get rid of every swap meet.
