im getting ready to pt a stripe on the bed of my 02 ram.....similar to the rumble be stripe........would i be better off painting the stripe on? or should i just buy a colored stripe decal?

ive already got the logo decal

is there a way to spray on a stripe without having to re clear the whole side of the box?

If your truck is used for any serious hauling the painted stripe might hold up better.  I have an 05 RAM Quad and I had the decal Rumblebee stripe put on my truck-----the truck is the correct color of Yellow already.  I chickened out at the last minute and had the Dodge dealer put it on.  After paying $175 for it I didn't want to have to rebuy the stripe kit after I messed it up.  It came out real nice but the true Rumblebee folks think I'am a criminal for putting it on but I don't care cause it's my truck and I can do whatever I want with it.  I don't haul any gravel or such around and try to be real careful with the stripe when washing the truck but it has held up quite well for approaching a couple of years now.
This is off the subject but I have been very pleased with the truck.  It's a 4X4 and is a pleasure to drive.  Rides like a cadillac on the interstate but takes curves pretty good too.  Since the 69 Charger project is going to take a few more years to complete, this was my way of getting into Dodge now------and I can use it to take the charger body for metal and paint work later plus it always gets lots of attention at the Dodge dealer when I go by to pick up parts for the Charger.
