I've been hearing about this place for a few months.  It is a couple of miles from my house.  An old codger has owned the place forever.  He has about 80-100 acres in an area that has become an elite location in Utah (Highland) for new home developments.  I guess his kids finally talked him into selling the place.  The place is loaded with old cars, trucks, tractors, farm implements - you name it and it is probably there.  They are going to auction the cars off on Saturday - so they opened the place up for a couple of days so people can go in and look around.  I was walking around taking some pictures and one of the guy's kids came up to me and said that I had better take the pictures now because no one has every been allowed on the property until today and the cars will be all be sold on Saturday.  There are cars and trucks ranging from the 1930's up to the 1970's.  There are quite a few MOPARs - 1950 era - Dodge, Chrysler, Plymouth, etc.  He has three (3) 1970 era Plymouth Dusters.  One is a Gold Duster with a slant 6 in it.  The other is a 1975 Duster with a V-8 (318 or 340), 4-speed.  Most everything is in pretty good shape for the ages of them.  However, no Chargers, Daytona's, Superbirds, or 426 Hemi's :'(  Will post up a few pictures.

It's called the Buehler Ranch.  Take I-15 south to Thanksgiving Point (I-15 north if you are south of Lehi).  Take the Highland/Alpine exit and go east on SR-92 towards American Fork Canyon.  Go down through Dry Creek past the Micron plant.  Take the first right (heading south) as soon as you cross Dry Creek and go south down to 10400.  Turn east on 10400 and go a few blocks further - it is on the south side of the road - you can't miss it.

It was never open for any business - because it wasn't a business.  It was the guy's private property.  His kid said he was a pack rat.  People would come by and ask him if he wanted the stuff - cars, etc. and he would take them and put them back on his acreage and threatened people with death if they trespassed on his property.

Even if I don't drag anything home, I'd still like to go pickin' around there for an hour or so. There's definitely some neat stuff there. :yesnod:

Thanks for the heads-up about this place Old Guy, that was pretty cool to see. :2thumbs: I got there about a half hour into the auction & they had probably gone through 1/3 of the cars.
I didn't drag anything home, but I was sure tempted to on a couple of those...if I had the extra storage space, I probably would have. :icon_smile_big:
This 318 Coronet wagon was beckoning me HARD...but I resisted. It sold for $375.00 :o Dammit, I should have bid $400. :brickwall: Oh well.





There's the auctioneer selling it off. About the only visible rust on it was in the lower corners of the tail gate.
I bet it ends up on eGouge soon, the buyer smelled like a flipper. :smilielol:



Here's the back end of that Polara wagon Old Guy showed earlier.



I found this funny...I was thinkin' the owner may have stood right here to defend his yard from thieves one night. :lol: :2guns:



Some guy dragged his chickie in there. I think she got that far before she decided "eeewww, this place is icky!"



She was still in about the same spot as I made my way back up another row, her hubby (?) was nowhere to be seen. :rofl:

Had a great visit with Charger Fan.  It was fun hooking up with another guy from the board.  We sat around for awhile gabbing about good times with our Chargers.  The Utah County Law Enforcement Officers Assn. staged their first annual car show at a park just down the street from the auction.  Small turnout - but at least there were two Chargers there - mine and a guy that has a beautiful 1966.  His is the red one - has a 383 in it.  I see him quite often at the local cruise-ins.  It was a nice day - a lot of shade in the park and pretty laid back.  My 1969 Charger was the selected by The Santiquin Police Department for their award.  Got a little plaque :icon_smile_wink:

While a was sitting at the car show, a lot of trucks were pulling trailers down the road past the park loaded with cars from the auction.  Sorry, but I saw your Corvair station wagon loaded up and going down the street - so, someone snagged it!! :icon_smile_big:

That Coronet wagon was COOL! There was one at a car show I went to last summer. It was a 69 Coronet RT (did they make RT wagons? :slap:) wagon. Anyways, I was T5 Copper with black interior and a HEMI! Now that would be awesome to have!

Bronzy, I'm pretty sure there weren't any R/T wagons made, they were usually just made to drag kids & groceries in. However, they're easy enough to slip into R/T clothing. :) It's just as well I didn't get that, I already have too many projects as it is & barely enough room to put 'em all.

There you go Grant, you coulda had a big block wagon for prolly under $1k.  Just park them at your neighbors or better yet OldGuy would have surely helped you out.  ;)  $375 seems like a great deal, most likely had a 8 3/4 rear as well.
