Hello all, as the subject says, just picked up a '72 Charger SE Brogham edition. It's triple black. Anyway, I plan on doing a "modified resto" on it, being in that, the drivetrain will be somewhat modified, but the rest of it will be factory. Anyway, the car was a 400/auto, but now is a 383/auto. I'll talk later about it, when I'm a a computer that's in better shape, this one, I'm having to hammer on the keyboard to type, so, this will be about it for now, I have a link over at cuda-challenger, : http://www.cuda-challenger.com/cc/index.php?topic=34475.0

no factory 8 track in 72

SE's did not get a smaller rear window, but they usually got smaller qtr windows

SE's got hideaways standard...

rear speaklers w/defogger is pretty uncommon

power wndows :2thumbs:

If you have no vision or creative spirit, you can always fall back on the way the factory did it.

wasn't common but we can't tell either WEIRD or uncommon. Mono Radios with rear speaker option got a rr fader knob mounted on map light insert. Stereos Radios ALLWAYS heve the 5x8 rear speaker on driver side, being the right channel for a while front was left channel. What was not an option on B bodies BUT YES ON THE REST (A, E and C ), was the rear setup/adaptor to blower and 6x9 speaker onpasseneger side cut out, being this the right channel and the other ones left side ( front 4x10 and rear driver 5x8 )
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

I thought those were water-cooled speakers. :icon_smile_tongue:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Thanks all for the info and the welcomes. I used to be a member of dodge-charger.com, until it shut down. At that time I had a 2nd gen, '69 R/T with 440. Anyway, this car, all though looks somewhat rough from the outside, most of the paint has turned into a minor surface rust, which once I can get the pic's loaded you'll see, the car overall isn't bad. As far as the 8-track, since it isn't original, I guess I'll get it out of the car (not sure if it works for sure or not, and it hangs down from under the dash, so....)... I found out here lately that the rear defogger and blower motors and such still work. The headlights still work, however the hideaway door motor is locked up, I can't even open the doors by hand..... Right now I'm trying to get the motor to fire up to see what I'm starting off with, but... It's being stubborn... :slap: :shruggy: ;D Anyway, it's a nice car, I got a shot of the fender tags, covered some of it up.... But as I said, you'll see. Once again, thanks for the welcomes.

OK, I'm trying to get some pic's up at the same link above. Since I'm over at another house using there computer, I'm not going to be able to post the same pic's up all over the place, main reason why, is because they have dial up.... Some times I think these old cars rust faster than this internet connection moves.... Right now I'm waiting on more pic's to upload on the site, so, feel free to ask any questions, or make any comments..... Enjoy. There should be about 28 pic's in total......

Thanks for the link, I joined up, same user name, with no space.... Posting a link to the same pic's that I've posted already to cuda-challenger.... Seems like it will be a lot faster this way....

OK, finally got the pic's posted at that site.... Went a "little" overboard with the trunk pic's.... But they are up.

Wow 2 tags.  You're lucky!  Is the build sheet still in the car?

Hot_Rodder

I'm not sure if the build sheet is still in the car or not, but based on everything that's I've seen so far, I have a very good idea that it is still "lurking" somewhere in it. The original carpet is still there, looks untouched, the seat coverings appear to be the original, the headliner has got to be original, and the glovebox doesn't look like it's ever been removed for anythign, so, as I said, based on the areas that I know that the factory put the sheets in, it should still be there, hiding for all this time :icon_smile_big:.
