I was at Blockbuster video tonight and asked the girl working there where I could find Resident Evil: Apocalypse and she took me to a special sequel display where it was sitting next to the Die Hard and Alien series. I asked her why the Alien movies were there and she told me that Alien 5 is supposed to be in production?!? I did some searching on the web and the newest info I could come up with was from 2005 (which also mentioned an Alien 6). I couldn't get the imdb.com site to work for me so I'm wondering if anyone here has heard or seen any news about another Alien sequel coming out?

Forza

It honestly wouldn't surprise me. It seems the film industry has run out of ideas and are re-hashing old classics like Die hard, Rocky, Rambo. I would much rather watch a new Alien movie though. I found a few websites that talk about the movie being made but nothing recent. I thought Aliens vs Predator was considered Alien 5?

I guess but couldn't it have just as easily been considered Predator 3? :shruggy:

I had heard about a year ago they were going to attempt another Alien versus Predator, but with a decent storyline. The interest was there for another, but not if they were going to rehash the same AVP lameness the first had.
They also mentioned that a pure Alien movie would probably do better.
But, as mentioned, that was over a year ago or so.

Once they started seriously talking about "Indiana Jones 4" and "Rambo 4" I gave up.  All bets are off when it comes to rehashes.

Wanna know what really surprises me that we haven't seen?  "Top Gun II"
Seriously, everyone is still alive and most of them aren't even all that old yet.

I'm not saying I actually WANT them to try it, but I'm a little surprised they haven't.

I'm still waiting for bunny theatre to do Top Gun  :-\
