I am picking up a '73 Satellite on Monday with a small block K frame and small block inner fenders.  I am wanting to do a Road Runner clone to beef it up a little.  I am going to have an extra 400 for it that runs and I was wondering, I can still use the small block K frame because it's a V8 K frame, correct?  Are there going to be any problems with keeping the inner fenders the small block style with both the plates, or am I going to have to modify the passenger side inner fender to be like a BB one with the larger opening? If anyone has done the modification, I'd love to see it.

The motor wont sit right with the small block K frame.  But from what I understand there are conversion mounts if you dont have access to a big block k.  My car was a small block car and has a 400 in it now.  I know from experience that the spark plugs are not fun to change at all.  It can be done, but its tricky.  I have a big block inner fender I cut from a car that was wrecked.  Its not perfect but not bad either.  If you are wanting to do the conversion let me know and i'll get some pics of it.  I decided to leave my inner fender the way it is.  I like the way this one looks.

Since 73 K members changed for every block size

if you will run to cut inner fender I would make the complete job changing the K frame to get a "real one"

if you go with engine adaptors mount option here is the info and seller:

Do you have any engine bay pics?  How tight is the clearance?  My Charger is a factory BB car and it seems like there would be a little bit of room between the block and the inner fender, but it may change quite dramatically if that extra piece is there.

The previous owner  (the guy who swapped in my motor)  didnt change the K frames so my motor doesnt sit right anyway.  Its not real far off from what I can tell but enough I can tell a difference with the naked eye.  Im not sure what he did with the motor mounts I cant see them that well but something is not right with them.  I think he modified the bushing/bolt to make it fit.  MAYBE when I get the k frame changed things will be easier to get to, but I would think they cut the inner fenders out for a reason...  So it will probably still be tough to get at those plugs.

Here is the inner fender I have.  Its not perfect, its cut at the front bottom.
