318 Distributor won't come out

I am taking apart a 318. I have the intake, heads and oil pan off. Something is holding the distributor in place that I cannot see or understand (external hold down is off). Can anyone help me out?

nothing else can hold it in besides a bit of corrosion. or that little O ring that holds seals it. take a screwdriver and lightly try to pry it out. I've done this before, but i also take no responsibility if you break it trying this method.

thats usually what happens after a long time. when you reinstall it just make sure to put a light coat of motor oil onto the o ring.
