4 speed clutch springs and assembly

When dissassembling my 4 speed (1970 833) my 3rd/4th sliding sleeve fell off the main shaft assembly and the clutch gear keys fell out/off of the clutch gear. Not so much a problem, but there are two springs that are part of the clutch gear assembly and the front one fell off as well; the rear spring stayed on as it and the clutch gear are held in place on the shaft by a snap ring.

My question is how do the two springs go into place. Obvioulsy the rear one did not move off of the assembly because it was held in place. I can't find a detailed enough exploded view of the tranny showing the assembly/placement of the springs. All I can gather is that they are seated opposite of each other, but the springs which are "C" shaped each have a denent on one end of each spring. do both these detents line up and both fit into one of the three hub keys, or is there some other way to fit the front spring in there.

I'm just about ready to put it back together, but I don't want to waste my time and find out later I've put it together wrong or worse, ruin the tranny after it's installed. I've go a 69 charger manual coming in the mail, but I'm thinking I'm not gonna find my answer in there either :brickwall:
