Ok I have a 73 dodge charger that has been sitting for the last 12 years and I can't get fuel to come up to the fuel pump from the tank. Should I replace the fuel pump or could it be something else? I cleaned out the lines so I know that they are not clogged.

IMO the replace the pump! It is cheep and an easy fix! Also, if that pump aint junk yet it will be with in a year of driving it since it sat!

When you cleaned out the lines did that include the sender in the tank?

The plastic "sock" filter in the tank is notorious for clogging up, especially when the car sits for an extended time.
Pardon me but my karma just ran over your dogma.

No it was just the line from the fuel pump to the gas tank. So could I just stick the air compressor hose on the sending unit and clean it that way or is there a different way?

Your sender could have a hole in the pickup tube further up and is sucking air, or you have a crack or rust hole in the line from the tank to pump....or of course a bad pump.
