Found a Mopar Grave Yard on vacation this past weekend.

This past  weekend I was on vacation in Pennsylvania and I had to take a detour to where I was going. I have gone to this town for years but had never taken this particular route.
I am driving along and I notice a Charger in a driveway. I was checking the car out and the owner comes out and was a real nice guy. :yesnod:
Story is that his family owned a Dodge dealership in PA back many tears ago and they opened a junk yard after they got out of the dealership business. Well the owner said that i could go and look at his junk yard and that he would sell whatever I wanted. He warned me that the cars were picked over.
He told me that about 6 years ago he had tons of Mopars that were complete and ready for restore or minor repair and that some guy cleaned him out of about just everything.
I think I may go back for the Coronet. It seems that it might able to be brought back from the dead but I do not know. The owner would hook me up with it for a few hundred he said.
   Here are some pic's.
It really made my vacation perfect that I found a Mopar Grave Yard. I could have spent days in there !  :yesnod:
I really did not have much time to look in detail cause' I was with the family & had to get to a family get together. :brickwall:

Picked over or not, it's still fun to go through one of those places isn't it?

There was a junkyard with old cars about 45 mins from here and we phoned and he had 2 69 Chargers (one I heard was a 500) but he closed it down about a year ago and now theres nothing else that deals with old cars here except a place about 25 mins from here that sells NOS parts and a guy who deals in old GMs. Theres a guy with a mini "junkyard" about 10 mins from my house that has a yard full of old cars. Ive seen a 69 Olds, 64 Impala sitting on the edge of the property and Ive also heard he has a few Mopars.

We had a good one here too up until a couple of years ago.  The guy who started it passed away and left it to his kids.  They had serious fights about how to conduct the business so they crushed everything and sent it all off to China.  They had cars going back to the 40's.  :brickwall:

hey man if you plan on going back let me know

i think some of those cars could use a little more picking over  :2thumbs:

If you have no vision or creative spirit, you can always fall back on the way the factory did it.

I love recon missions like this...kinda brings a tear to my eye.

:iagree: Sorta sad. I'd sure like to go poking around there for a few hours, though. :)

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

I'm from PA, could you PM me and tell me where that's at? I am looking for some 3rd Gen stuff.  :2thumbs:

Those Duster's actually don't look that bad. Could be made into great little drag cars.

I can't tell for sure but if it's been open to the public the grills are prolly missing and for the price of a couple hundred you can't go wrong picking that '70 Coronet up.
