Hmmmm.....there is a radiator for sale with PN 2949 046.  My parts catalog does not have this!  Both 045 and 047 are present, but 046 is missing.  Anyone know what this radiator is for??  Thanks!

2949046 shows up as a 1969 C-body 22" radiator for 318/auto non-A/C cars.

Thanks!  Not gonna work for our car for sure!  He is listing it as a 26" radiator from a 1969 Charger!

If it was the 26" from a charger it would either be 2949055 or 2949054

Gentlemen, the "046" plot thickens...

I just picked up a Mopar radiator that is pn 2949046. I couldn't find it in Paul Herd's book either. The guy who sold it to me thought that it came off of a '73 Charger with a 318. Here are the details from what I can see so far:

26" width (not 22" for sure), top outlet on drivers side, bottom is on passenger side

Auto tranny cooler inlet/outlet

It has some sort of a plastic top "switch" with a tubing inlet/outlet mounted into the side of the top tank.

Perhaps this is for some other Mopar and not a Charger?

Hmmm?  Galens book confirms what Geno says but when I check the 69 parts catalog, it doesn't turn up at all.

I just acquired a 26 inch 2949056 radiator and was told it was out of a 69 Charger with a towing package.  I can not find documentation of this anywhere.  Can anyone help me find some info on this oodbsll rad?

Since replying to this thread 11 years ago, I've collected a lot more documentation - and 2949056 was NOT a radiator used in 1969 passenger car applications at all.  It MAY have been used in light-duty pickup trucks, but I have no documentation at all on Dodge truck models from that year.

Back to the OP's question about 046 radiators:

The 046 radiator was NOT a 22" core as I incorrectly mentioned earlier.  :slap:  Took me a while to find the reference I used back in 2007, and it was Galen's little white books.  It always puzzled me why the earlier post mentioned that the seller was trying to pass off a 2949046 as a 26" radiator.  Now I found out why... Galen's book was incorrect on that particular listing.  According to the factory docs, 2949046 is a 26", 2-row core, 12 fins per inch, with a 10" x 1" (transmission) oil cooler in the bottom tank, used exclusively on C-body Dodge & Plymouth (non-police or taxi) models with a 318 and A/C.  The physical dimensions / specs do happen to be fairly close to a 2949055 radiator (which was used in various B-body applications), but according to dogbert22 the inlet/outlets are reversed from B-body locations.
