I'm thinking of selling my car. So I can get my dream car. A second gen charger. I'm thinking that with the revenue from selling my car added to the money I have stashed away now I could get a decent small block first gen. Then I could drive it for the time being while I build a big block. So heres the question. What is my car worth?

1968 Sport Satellite
Originally white/black top (it has a ratty copper one on it now)
#'s matching engine/trans
383 four barrel/auto on the column
its loaded up with options:
AC
8 track (missing)
power windows
power steering
rear speaker
buddy seat
Heavy duty suspension package
theres more but I can't remember

The engine has eddy carb/intake
a comp cam
.030 over
headers

The body is 100% rust free, but it has some dents on both rear quarters
I just put new wheels and tires on it

So what do you think its worth? click the link in my sig for more pictures.

I wouldn't be selling it right away. And plus I live in Arizona, which means no snow to keep me from driving a car year round.

Hey Scott

do you have any idea what you might want for it?

1Hot68, I'm not for sure if I'm even going to sell it, and I still need to do some research on what its worth. But, if I decide I'm going to sell it I'll let you know and give you my number so your friend can call and talk to me about it. Where does this guy live?

Charger-Bodie

they live in iowa about 25 miles north of me. thanks Brian

Mean 318

Don't sell! I think you would regret it! Fix this one and drive it! Or keep saving and get a charger and have the sat  :Twocents:

This "wiw" thread is worthless without pics. :icon_smile_big:

The Aquamax...yes, this bike spent 2 nights underwater one weekend. (Not my doing), but it gained the name, and has since become pseudo-famous. :)

Harlow

Mean 318, I'm pretty sure I want to sell it. Something with a nicer body that I don't have to worry about and I can go to town on the engine and interior (the stuff I enjoy doing). I'd love to get a '70 coronet or superbee also.

tecmopar

Let me know when your ready to sell it, I'd be very interested, thanks,

I think its a good idea.  Sell it and get the car you really want.  Why waste your time and money on a car if its not a car you know you want to keep around?  Its a neat enough car that you shouldnt have any trouble moving it, and you will have cash in hand when a Charger comes along.   :yesnod:

First thought, is why sell to get a 1st gen Charger if it's a 2nd gen Charger that you really want? Why not simply put some elbow grease into the Satellite for now, & drive that until you have more saved up to get the 2nd gen prize you are after? There will be a stretch of time wasted with buying & selling the 1st gen which could take up to several months or longer from the day it goes up for sale until you actually have cash in your hand.

As for the value of your rust free Satellite, I'd say roughly $5K to $6K, but maybe more if you spend some labor on it to detail it. I'd even try to get the dents pulled to make it more presentable. On ebay, I recently watched a 1970 318 Sport Satellite climb to just over $8K & sell that was dent free & cleaner looking.

Big Lebowski

Check ebay's completed listings for what's selling & what's not. You can see how much $$$ they're going for. :scratchchin:
"Let me explain something to you, um i am not Mr. Lebowski, you're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the dude, so that's what you call me. That or his dudeness, or duder, or you know, el duderino if you're not into the whole brevity thing."
