I have a pair of 452 heads ready to be milled down

I will use felpro metallick headgasket

A safe number is .050 but you must also mill the intake mounting surface .060 to maintain intake port alignment.  ;)

I wouldn't mill them until you have the rotating assembly picked out....you could end up with too much static compression for pump gas or have to order custom pistons.  :Twocents:

I was thinking on mill down half or 1/3 of limit, since I'll use metallic headgasket. Yeah I know about intake mill relationship but thanks for keep in mind. it is .012 for every .010 on head right ? I have to consider also metallick headgasket. How much ( more less ) I get lowered from regular to metallick ? I'm not friendly with SAE measurements, I know about metric.

About stroke... thinking I can choose several piston to shapes to fit on different chamber combustions sizes I don't think will be a problem :D
