yea yea it's a clone, but i just want something to enjoy, and change a bit

http://www.autocollections.com/index.cfm?key=3387&action=details&tab=juke

I just want something to take to local shows, and drive daily. Does it resemble a 71 R/T? or could a charger guy tell it was a 72 cloned?

bordin34

I wouldn't be able to tell except for the 440 emblem on the dash, the VIN, and I think that an R/T would have an orange painted engine.

1973 SE Brougham Black 4̶0̶0̶  440 Auto.
1967 Coronet Black 440 Auto
1974 SE Brougham Blue 318 Auto- Sold to a guy in Croatia
1974 Valiant Green 318 Auto - Sold to a guy in Louisiana
Mahwah,NJ

Its not very well done as a clone at all.  It looks like a nice custom car but its really a stretch to call that a clone.

He didnt even put RT doors on it.

70charger_boy

very very nice, but I wouldn't pay 25 grand for it.  I like that 68 you posted earlier

Brock Samson

it's a 71/72 SE/RT kinda' sorta,.. alsothe side markers are wrong too many 440 logos all over the place too,.. for 25 Gs you could do better... IMO. or offer 20..   :icon_smile_wink:

runninhorn

yea, im gonna keep looking.

I went to the TDC in Boerne, Tx this weekend, enjoyed it, but man, im now more confused than ever. I "thought" I knew what I wanted, but when I saw cars in person, that amount at once, it just confused me even more, just undecided on what kind of car to pursue.

I was in Forth Worth, earlier in the week and went to a musclecar shop called American Automobilia. They had one sick looking 68 charger, along with 'cudas, chally's.  Try checking them out

Charger1973

I would suggest (if at all possible) driving one of each.  Ive never driven a 1st gen but driving a 2nd and 3rd gen are 2 completely different things.

I like it ;). I think red 71 RT with a black stripe, hood blackout and black vinyl top looks awesome! :yesnod:

:iagree:

I also agree with Brock. To many 440 emblems. Nice car other then that. I'd drive it.

Nacho-RT74

Nice 72... definitelly yes.
Nice Clone... definitelly NO
Nice custom Job... Yes

I'm agree about to many 440s emblems ( plus license plates LOL)

Sway bar is the incorrect one... that is 73 and laters kind. Any way he didn't use the plates. I made instead that kinda brackets mounted on axle ( welded ??? ) . I was doing that once when I got my NOS sway bar locally, without plates, but I preffer on those days wat for teh right plates, since I wanted a completelly stock car.
Venezuelan RT 74 400 4bbl, 727, 8.75 3.23 open. Now stroked with 440 crank and 3.55 SG. Here is the History and how is actually: http://www.dodgecharger.com/forum/index.php/topic,7603.0/all.html

I won't be wronged, I wont be Insulted and I wont be laid a hand on. I don't do these things to others, and I require the same from them.

Id take any decently done clone. Daytona, R/T, whatever, just dont want a hack job, perfume pig, that is all.

runninhorn

well i just got back. I flew out to vegas to look at it this weekend, and PERFUME PIG is surely is. wow it looked bad in person, so glad i flew out there. It isnt worth $11k in my opinion.

BigBlockSam

what was so bad? looks pretty good in the pics. that was smart of you to go look at it.   Rene

runninhorn

it just had alot of little details not done. It was sitting next to a $350k mercedes, and just alot of stuff wasnt done like it should have been under the hood and inside.

Charger1973

Sucks to be let down... but man, I bet you are glad you went and looked in person.  I know I would be.  :yesnod:

Theres plenty of nice ones out there.  Are you just looking for a nice Charger in general or a clone car specifically?
