I live in Voorhees township [ Run by Nazis ] ! Anyway had free tickets to see chicago last night at the Tweeter center, having seen Chicago last year , and what a big dissapointment , because they lack of any Good vocalist. They suck without Peter Cetera . The big reason I went this year was for The band America , wanting to see them for 20 years , I was not going to miss them . Let me tell you , they brought the house down . They opened for Chicago , and came back out for a standing O . People were going nuts ! When Chicago came out , the crowd was not nearly as loud ! The crowd came alive when The two founders of America came back on with Chicago to sing Magic [ An America Tune ] After they Left , I walked out on 99% of Chicago Set , instrumentally they were fair , vocally , flat out horrible .As we were pulling out of the parking lot , I noticed a custom tour bus going by , we sped up to it , and guess what ? It was the band America, and the lead singer was in the front , I started talking to him stating how I admired The band for 30 years [ they started in 69 ] I thanked the band for being part of a generation , and for coming to our town ! I told them I walked out on Chicago and they all Laughed ! Larry

I saw America up in NH last year in a small venue in Concord. They were great.

We've seen Chicago 4 times in the last 3 years. Last year, we saw them with Huey Lewis at a larger venue in Boston and I thought they were flat and disappointing. A month later we saw them at a smaller place in Hampton Beach and they were great.

We also saw them with Earth, Wind, and Fire a couple years ago and that was a great show.

When they play with another band, they always come out on stage with each other. Huey Lewis came out and did a Chicago tune and a couple Chicago guys came out and did a tune with EW&F.

Cetera hasn't been with them in decades.

I got to see Chicago in Cleveland with my Mom years ago. Cetera was with them then.
Never got to see America. I love that tune, "Been through the desert on a horse with no legs..."

Weird, I was just listening to America last night thinking how cool would it be to see them live.  I could do without seeing Chicago as well..

Chicago and America.... "Featuring original members of the 1969 Tour Road Crew".

I hear Gary Puckett and the Union Gap is staging a comeback....
