this might be stupid but i dont know....i have the option of buying a 73 charger..just wondering if the paint job is rare. its a yellow car but there is black trim around the windows and then it gets thicker and somewhat turns into an arrow shape and goes down the hood towards the grille...if anyone has an idea of what im talkin about plz reply.

Whatever it is, its custom so there is nothing "rare" about it.

If its a true yellow car though... they aren't that common.  Yellow was the only extra cost paint option in 1973.

it doesnt look custom but ok...could u take a look at it though,  i'd appreciate it . could u leave an email address and i could send u a pic of it?

Charger1973

Send it over.  charger1973@hotmail.com

Completely custom paint job.  Looks like it could be an original yellow car though.  That doesnt make it rare, but it's one of the less common colors.

guy has it for sale for $450 canadian .....good buy i assume?

I dont know what the currency converts to in US $.  It doesnt matter anyway, because you really cant tell alot from those 3 pictures.  You would need to either see it in person or get a LOT more pics of all areas to really get a good idea of what you are looking at.

That place looks like a junkyard and the car looks like its been sitting there a long time.  See if it has a title or not first, and find out if the frame is decent or not.  Then go from there.

looks like it needs quarters at least, i'd also check the rockers, frame rails, and floor pans. Alot depends on what engine and tranny combo it as too. As for the paint, Charger1973 is right, totally custom. Does look like it may have afew good parts left on it though.

also just outta curiosity, What is that car sitting in front of it?
Daddy ran whiskey in a big black dodge
bought it at an auction at the masons lodge,
Johnson County Sherriff painted on the side,
just shot a coat of primer then he looked inside,
well him and my uncle tore that engine down,
I still remember that rumblin' sound.....

Looks like a parts car to me.

The exchange rate is pretty close right now but for 450 bucks even as a parts car that's not bad.  Think about what parts are left on this car that are useable and what it would cost to get them separately.  I think you'll find it's worth picking up just for future use if a 3rd gen is what you are looking for.

I dont think thats a Factory Black Strip if thats what your asking, looks like a homemade custom job. If Factory I've never seen it before. As for Price dont sound bad unless total rust bucket, If thats the case only worth parts car as a resto would cost more then car worth. LEON.

Those sidemarkers look really strange, what's up with the chrome trim around them?

They are from a later car.  The mounting hole is the same but the shape of the sidemarker is a bit different.
