I'm asking this because this will be my first time pulling an engine out of a vehicle.  i'm about to pull my 318 and trans from my 74 charger and was looking to see if any of the members here have any tips or advice of what to do or not to do.  Keep in mind that this will be done without the aid of a post lift or anything, car is up on jack stands with about 16ins of ground clearance.  Thanks in advance.

Make sure you have as much ground clearance as possible if you intend to pull them together.  This goes without saying then, that you will also need lots of ceiling height.  A leveller for the hoist is fantastic, remove the hood and radiator, and don't let your girlfriends kid brother touch the cherry picker part way through the job.

I got a twisted rad cradle once because of that last one.  :icon_smile_angry:
